As we continue our series in Luke, we reach the only recorded story of Jesus’ childhood (except events surrounding his birth and infancy). When we think of later events in Jesus’ life, what exciting thing might Luke record for us from Jesus’ early years? In practice, it is little more than a statement by Jesus. But, if it is true, it is perhaps the most profound statement any human being could utter.
