Our Mission Statement
1. Good News To Share
The “gospel” or good news is at the heart of all we do. It shows us what we are like: made by God but rejecting him, hurting ourselves and others, powerless to fix ourselves.
It also shows us what God is like: perfectly good, loving and just, grieved and angered by our rejection and its consequences. It tells us that he sacrificed himself in the death of Jesus Christ to save his imperfect people and put us right with him.
We want to share this message of hope in ways that are culturally relevant and accessible to all.
2. Teaching That Connects
We find this good news in the Bible – God’s written message to us all. We are dedicated to studying, teaching and training from the Bible in a way that shows its relevance for all of us today.
This collection of writings contains attractive, challenging and life-changing answers to the major questions of life from the mind of its ultimate author – God himself.
3. A Life of Worship
God’s presence is more than a belief or feeling. He transforms us. We put Jesus at the centre of our lives and aim to serve his agenda in everything we do and say.
On Sundays, we gather to hear God’s voice through the Bible and respond in prayer and song to his forgiveness and promise of salvation for heaven. In all our organised activities through the week we seek to learn and encourage one another in the Christian life as we look forward to meeting with our Lord in eternity.
Our aim is that in our whole lives we will obey Christ’s teaching, enjoy his presence, and live for his reputation and glory.
4. Friends Who Love
Faith produces community, and Christian faith creates ties between God and us, and with one another, which will last beyond this life.
We aim for our lives to reflect the self-sacrificial love that God has shown towards us and to welcome others into this warm and caring Christian family.
We would love for you to be part of that movement.
