Hannah joined us in 2019 after serving as a Youth and Children’s Minister at a church in Canterbury. She studied at Cornhill for two years alongside a ministry internship and before that worked as a headhunter within the education sector. Sharing Jesus with children, young people and their families is Hannah’s greatest privilege and she is thrilled to be working alongside the wonderful teams here at Christchurch. She is also part of the planning teams for Sorted and Contagious Go East. Hannah is married to Asantha and they both consider it a real blessing to be part of the Christ centered community here at CCB.

elder emeritus

Bernard Palmer

Bernard trained as a doctor at Cambridge University and the London Hospital and later became the Senior Surgeon at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. In 2000 he and Dr Tom Holland established Christchurch Baldock as many felt North Herts had a need for a contemporary Bible teaching church with a focus on evangelism, families and young people.

Bernard is the author of ‘Cure for Life’, The Duty of a Disciple’ and ‘Science and God: Enemies or Allies’. His new book ‘Stepping Stones to Faith’ outlines the rational arguments that there is a real God who has shown himself in Jesus. His blog contains his articles on many subjects. Bernard is married to Rosy, with whom he has four children, Rob, Sam, Rachel, and Andy.
